Hallucinate added that Desert was “A journey of a tune; this project was passed back-and-forth over the course of a year, taking the sounds to a new experimental level. The minor chord progression used in the song blends perfectly with the vocal track, while the actual pattern the melodic instruments are playing is quite simple. The orchestration during the intro supports the rest of the song by giving listeners a mysterious feeling of being lost and alone, wandering in the desert.
