ASHEZ Comes Correct On New Hit Single, “HYPE”

ASHEZ IS BACK! Fresh off his latest heater of a collab with Montycler, the New Zealand native brings his A-game once again on his new self-released single. “Hype” opens with an intoxicating tease of a contagious bass melody, elegantly presented to the listener through masterful use of space and tension. A rhythmic high end builds on this grooving bassline as the song progresses into an unique build-up peppered with some impressive percussive work. The snazzy, trappy snare build spliced with a bouncing clap rhythm serve to prop up the melody on a silver platter with a side tension as Hype and anticipation is created effortlessly.

After such a skillfully crafted introduction, when the drop hits, it HITS! ASHEZ comes out the gate with a gnarly pre-drop featuring his signature distorted sustain bass that smacks the listener on their ass. The 24 year old comes back with a combo as he fluently switches to a deep, knockin’ B-pattern that boasts some mesmerizing percussive work and an intoxicating groove. But the legend doesn’t stop here! He’s got a whole other demon in store for us as he expands on the first drop, playing around with some rhythmic changes in the B-pattern and experimenting with variations in the high end. All in all, this is certainly a song you don’t want to miss out on! Be sure to listen to ASHEZ new chune, “Hype”, available on all major platforms on 6/7.
