EVALUTION BRINGS AN INTERPLANETARY GROOVE ON HIS NEW TUNE, SPACE FUZZ.
The Tallahassee native, Evalution, brings out an other-worldly funk on his new song, Space Fuzz, featured on his brand new EP, Spaced Out, out now on Headbang Society. Evalution is known for slick guitar riffs blended with grungy basslines, and this song is certainly no different. Space Fuzz opens with a funky guitar riff, reminiscent of Griz, that sports a melody so catchy that it seems to wriggle its way into your brain and set up camp. The intro flows seamlessly into a build-up, in which the listener is teased with tidbits of the craziness to come.
The drop hits heavy, so heavy in fact, that it might knock you right out of the earth’s atmosphere and into orbit. The interstellar synth mimics the introductory guitar’s melody, which only continues to engrain this catchy melody in the audience’s mind. The synth itself can perhaps best be described by the title itself, Space Fuzz, as it features a fuzzy hi end that itches the ear in all the right places. Evalution flawlessly switches between this and a spicy B pattern full of wompy goodness that keeps the listener interested and engaged, (contrary to the name of the EP).
This song is a statement from Evalution, one that stakes himself a place in the oversaturated EDM world and says, “I’m here to stay.” I, for one, am looking froward to see what else this innovator has in store for us. Be sure to check out Space Fuzz and the rest of the Spaced Out EP!
